SA9137 USB Audio Controller

Overview

The SA9137 combines USB High-Speed audio streaming with stereo playback and recording. It supports PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz and native or DoP DSD64/128/256 in asynchronous mode. An IEC60958 S/PDIF transmit output provides a digital audio path.

Features

• USB 2.0 High-Speed operation with USB Audio Class 1.0 and 2.0 support.
• Two-channel playback and two-channel recording.
• One I²S input pair and one I²S output pair for PCM, with independent sample-rate configuration.
• PCM word lengths of 16, 24 or 32 bits.
• Native and DoP DSD modes, including DSD left/right data-line swapping.
• I²C master control, firmware-assigned I/O and an HID interrupt endpoint.
• 1.8–3.3 V supply range and a 48-pin QFN package.

Applications and integration

The device is intended for USB audio, Type-C audio and mobile audio accessories. Check the required clock frequencies, firmware configuration and external CODEC interface against the July 2018 datasheet. Supported audio formats depend on the complete hardware and firmware implementation.
